From time to time your Appliance may unfortunately breakdown, sometimes there maybe no reason at all and it may be a one off occurrence, but usually there is a reason, before contacting me for a breakdown check the list below.
Check you have fuel in the tank and the fuel is turned on, may seem obvious but sometimes overlooked!, some sight tubes have various types of push button, valve or lever, it also may be blocked and give a false reading.
Check the Remote Firevalve has not been accidentally knocked or has activated falsely, check the button.
Check the wheelhead firevalve (quite often within the boiler casing) is open, it looks like a little brass tap.
Check the programmer/timeclock is calling for heating or hot water.
Check the room thermostat is calling for heat.
Check the high limit thermostat has not activated on the boiler (a little pushbutton, usually red or green) usually situated on or under the control panel, if this has activated it may be for a reason?.
If all the above is ok and the boiler still does not fire then try pressing the "Lock out" button on the front of the burner within the outer casing. The boiler should attempt the ignition sequence, if this does not happen then call me, if it does happen but the boiler does not fire or fires then locks out then call me anyway, you need assistance!!.
